Palatine, United States - April 20, 2026 / Good News in the Neighborhood Church /
PALATINE, IL — April 20, 2026 - Good News in the Neighborhood announces its participation in the Palatine Touch-A-Truck event on Saturday, May 2, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Family Aquatic Center, 340 E Palatine Road. The multi-ethnic, Bible-teaching church will showcase the Good News Truck and serve complimentary ice cream to families attending the popular community event.
The annual Palatine Touch-A-Truck event draws thousands of families to Community Park, offering children hands-on experiences with a variety of recreational and organizational vehicles. The interactive event allows kids to climb aboard, explore, and discover the vehicles that serve their community, from fire trucks and construction equipment to specialty service vehicles.
The Good News Truck represents the church's commitment to being "good for everyone" in the Palatine community. Throughout the year, the truck travels regularly to various locations around the area, providing free coffee and hot chocolate in winter, ice cream in summer, and balloons to children and families in the name of Jesus. The truck serves as a tangible expression of the church's mission to bring good news to their neighbors.
"We're excited to be part of this wonderful community event," said a church representative. "The Touch-A-Truck event is a perfect opportunity for us to serve our neighbors and connect with families in a fun, meaningful way. We look forward to welcoming everyone with free ice cream and sharing the good news of God's love for our community."
Families are invited to visit the Good News Truck at the Touch-A-Truck event for free ice cream while exploring the many vehicles on display. The event is free and open to the public, offering a safe, family-friendly environment where children can interact with vehicles and meet the people who serve the Palatine community.
