Jeff "Beachbum" Berry's beloved holiday pop-up celebrates a decade of Christmas cocktails, escapism, collectible glassware and fan-favorite traditions
NEW YORK, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Sippin' Santa, Miracle Cocktails Inc.'s tropical Christmas cocktail pop-up presented by renowned cocktail pioneer Jeff "Beachbum" Berry, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year with new cocktails, new collectible glassware and the return of fan-favorite drinks from the last decade. The 2026 season will bring Sippin' Santa to more than 50 participating bars across the U.S. and Canada.

The concept was created in 2016 when Greg Boehm, founder of Miracle Cocktails Inc., invited Berry's New Orleans bar Latitude 29 to create a tropical counterpart to his growing Christmas pop-up, Miracle. Launching as Sippin' Santa, with Berry at the helm of the cocktail program, the concept quickly caught on with additional bars wanting to bring the experience to their own guests and has grown into the beloved pop-up guests eagerly anticipate every year.
"When Greg asked Latitude 29 to participate in a tropical counterpart to Miracle, the only question I had was 'Where do I sign?'" said Berry. "What's been most rewarding over the past 10 years is seeing Sippin' Santa become part of people's holiday traditions. We started seeing guests come back year after year, sometimes asking about the next season months before we even opened. If we can give people a couple of hours to put everything else aside, enjoy a great drink and feel like they've taken a vacation for the holidays, then we've done our job."
"Ten years ago, Miracle was already a Christmas tradition, and I saw an opportunity to bring that same spirit to a tropical experience," said Greg Boehm, Founder and CEO of Miracle Cocktails Inc. "Jeff, a dear friend, was someone I knew could magnify that Christmas joy. A decade later, Sippin' Santa has become everything I hoped it would be, and we're still growing. As we look ahead, we're excited to keep bringing Sippin' Santa's tropical spirit to even more guests each season."
That spirit of holiday escapism comes to life once again with the 2026 menu. This year, Sippin' Santa introduces its first-ever stemmed glassware: the Frosted Penguin Coupe, produced by sister company Cocktail Kingdom. Served in the new glass is the Pau Hana Penguin, combining tequila with tamarind and miso-infused honey, fresh lime, and dashes of banana, apricot and ginger liqueurs, bringing together unexpected flavors with the warmth and spice of the holiday season.
For its 10th anniversary, Sippin' Santa is also reaching back into its history. For this milestone year, the first ever cocktail from the inaugural season is back on the menu. The Sippin' Santa is made with Demerara rum, amaro, lemon, orange, nutmeg and ginger syrups and pays homage to Sippin' Santa's roots. Also making its comeback is the Christmas Eve of Destruction (2019), Berry's all-time favorite Sippin' Santa cocktail. Created by Brad Smith while serving as Head Bartender at Berry's Latitude 29, the drink combines overproof rum, nutmeg syrup, Benedictine, fresh lime and bitters.
As Sippin' Santa enters its second decade, the program will continue to evolve while staying true to what has resonated with guests from the beginning: the opportunity to gather, celebrate and escape for a little while. New elements will join returning traditions each season, keeping the experience fresh while preserving the sense of discovery and fun that has kept guests coming back year after year.
